Women Behind the Lens
A HISTORY OF WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS, narrated by Maureen Stapleton, is a fifteen minute educational film produced to accompany a museum exhibition which opened at the New York Public Library in 1996, before traveling to four museums across America. The exhibition was curated by photographic historians Dr. Naomi Rosenblum and Barbara Tannenbaum and was based on Rosenblum’s ground-breaking book A HISTORY OF WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS (Abbeville Press).
